Whale of a time!
Went to Bay Bulls yesterday to go on a whale and puffin tour. What a beautiful day we had for it. The boat was lovely and the water was gorgeous. If I would have had a blanket and a pillow I swear the rocking would have put me right to sleep!
There were no ice bergs, so I was a bit disappointed about that. We did see a whale!! It was an 80 foot fin back whale. The second largest mammal in the world. When it comes to the surface to spout, it blows the water 20 feet into the air. It was amazing to see it when it arched out of the water to dive back down again.
We saw so many puffins. They are so much smaller than I ever thought. And fast! Their wings flap so fast that it's impossible to catch them in a picture! I think they are the cutest birds I've ever seen. Absolutely adorable.
I took loads of pictures but I think something may have happened to my film. It seems like the film started over. So, I'm hoping I didn't end up taking pictures over pictures. How disappointing would that be. Got myself a nice sunburn on my face too! It doesn't hurt though, thank goodness.
Went to the Shortall's to babysit my boys after I got home. Rory is getting so big! And he's so cute. I could seriously squeeze him. He's such a smart little boy. I love them to death.
So, after my long, full day yesterday, I had a nice sleep in this morning and when I get ready I'm going up to mom's for turkey supper. Nothing beats mom's home cooking!
Talk soon. Ta ta for now.
