Memories
We've been on a cleaning binge here lately and it's amazing how much we have the basement tidied up. I've been going through boxes and boxes of my things and seeing things that I haven't looked at in years. I've been doing more than my share of crying over things that bring back memories of when I was a kid or of high school. Yesterday I found old notes that we used to pass back and forth in class! Some from as far back as grade eight and nine! Reading through them and seeing all the "drama" that I had back then was hilarious. It almost makes me yearn for that time to be back, even if it's just for a day. I miss just being with those people (Debbie, Jennifer N, Richard, Michael, Steph) in that setting. We had great times at Ascension. Great times.

I also found my handprint from Kindergarten and the invitation that was sent to my parents inviting them to my Kindergarten graduation. Old report cards, old birthday cards...you name it, I found it. My keep pile was much larger than my throw away pile! I had to keep all those things. One of these days I'm going to make a scrapbook I think.

B went back to Town yesterday. It was strange waking up without him this morning. We spent every day of the last two weeks together and I'm so used to him being here that now I have to get used to doing things by myself again. I miss him.

I guess I should go on again. Take care of yourselves.

Back From Town
Here I am, back from St. John's. I went in on Sunday and got back yesterday (Thursday). I had a great time. On Sunday we went out with B's mom and uncle to celebrate her birthday which is actually today. We saw Pirates of the Caribbean 2 (great movie) and went to supper at Klondike Jake's (great food). Then we got dropped off at the apartment and just hung out there for the rest of the evening.

On Monday we went to the Avalon Mall and shopped around and ate at the food court and had Second Cup. I ran into Steph R who I haven't seen in at least two years! We chatted for a few while she was waiting for a friend. On Wednesday B and I went to the Big R for supper, and that night we ordered a movie and had a few drinks. I love being in Town. I love living in C.B. but sometimes I miss living in there.

Last weekend me, mom, Jordan, Chris and Lynette and Andrew's girlfriend, J gathered up all our old things we didn't want anymore and went out and had a huge yard sale! We sold a bunch of stuff that was cluttering up the house and all made a couple of hundred dollars each! We still have a bunch of stuff left so we're thinking about going out to try again this weekend if all the rain that's been forecast stays away.

I hope everyone is having a lovely summer. Take care.

Northern Bay Sands
On Saturday past I went to Northern Bay Sands with B, Chris, Lynette, Andrew and J. What a fun day we had! I'd never been to NBS before (which was a shock to everyone because apparently everyone and his uncle has been there at least once!) Anyway, we got there just before 1:00 and we set up our blankets and stuff and the guys played frisbee and I, of course, applied my sunscreen! SPF 70! Honestly. I put it on three times throughout the day and only came home with a slight sunburn. I'm quite impressed. I have a little bit of pretty color and no blisters or swelling (which is what I usually get when I venture out into the sun).

NBS is so lovely. The sand is so soft and you can only walk on it for a minute before it starts to burn your feet. Then you go into the ocean and your legs go numb because it's freezing! We walked down the beach and I saw a shell sticking up in the sand and I tried to nudge it out with my toe but it was stuck. So B got it out and it was a gigantic snail shell with a gigantic snail still inside. We took some pictures of it.

We got something to eat at the little restaurant that's there and then we went through a trail and came to a little pond with much warmer water and that's where we stayed for the rest of the afternoon. It was nice day :)

On Sunday I'm off to Town for a week! B's brother and uncle will be in Spaniards Bay so we'll have the apartment to ourselves. We're going to go shopping and see a movie and just do fun things. I love Town. I'm really looking forward to going in.

That's it for now. Take care everyone.
