It's Christmas!!!
Heya Guys

I'm sitting here enjoying all the wind and rain! I almost blew away after work! Had an interesting day. Nolan's home with pink eye. I washed my hands about a thousand times throughout the day. I DO NOT want that dirt for Christmas. Knowing me and my knack for catching things, though, I'll be here on Christmas morning with pink gooey eyes! Yuck!

Well, this past weekend was crazy. On Friday night after Lynette got off work, we went to Town for some shopping. Didn't get home until after 2 in the morning. Had a great time though. I got a white fleece hoodie at Old Navy for less than 6 bux. I was super impressed. :)

Got up on Saturday morning to go to the Santa parade here in Clarke's Beach...my, my, my...has anyone ever been to a hick Santa parade?! There was a total of 3 floats, about 10 fire trucks, and then Santa rode through. It took all of five minutes for the whole thing to drive through the main road of Clarke's Beach! Truthfully, I was a little embarassed for the Town. I mean, if that's all they could come up with, they should have just said forget about it.

Left the parade and went to get my hair trimmed. I still really love this haircut. The bangs are my favorite part. Then mom and I went to Carbonear. Once we got back in Bay Robert's we were going to stop in to the liquor store. We were getting out of the car and mom couldn't find her purse!!! We searched the entire car and it wasn't there. So I phoned Walmart and the lady I spoke to told me that someone had turned in a purse and when she checked the I.D., it was mom's! We took off back to Carbonear, mom got her purse, and there wasn't a thing missing! She was so relieved. Poor thing was nearly in tears. Besides her debit and credit cards, there was a substantial amount of cash (her car payment) in her purse. Thank god there are still people who won't rob you blind.

On Sunday I went with mom and Jordan to the Pentecostal church to watch their Christmas Catata (I think that's how it's spelled!) Andrew was in it. It was lovely. Andrew played Friar John Mohr, the monk who wrote "Silent Night". When Friar Mohr learned that the church organ was broken and wouldn't be fixed in time for Christmas, he wrote a song that was meant to played on the guitar. I am in no way becoming 'churchy' (LOL) but I was moved to tears a couple of times watching the whole thing. I could seriously feel how much these people believed in their words and the spirit of it all. It's nice to have something to believe in.

When I got home from church I went with Chris and Lynette driving around to get ice cream and ooh and ahh over people's Christmas lights. We went to Port de Grave to see the boats. So beautiful. 'My' boat was lovely, of course! And that's it! That's everything I've been up to lately. I hope everyone has a great Christmas, full of love and happiness and hugs. I'll talk to you all soon. Ta ta for now.

Merry Christmas!

*silent night, holy night. all is calm, all is bright...sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace*
