Still Alive!
So much has been going on these days. I never get a chance to update this thing! I'll just tell you all about the most interesting things, I suppose...
On Sunday, May first, Mom, Chris, Paul and myself got ready and headed to god's country (not!). Paul's grandmother got it into her head that since he hadn't been baptized as a baby, it was very important for it to be done now. If you ask me, she was just trying to scam an extra visit. Anyway, the service was held in a church in a town called Blackhead...I kid you not. It makes me think of pimples! It went as well as could be expected considering it involved Paul and his nan. For everything that happened she had her mouth going..."Now Paul, listen to the minister." "Now Paul, listen to poppy read." "Now Paul, go up and get you candle." On and on. I was happy when it was time to go home.
On Friday night Andrew graduated!! We went to mom's for pictures and to give gifts. Then I babysat Rory and Nolan while the Shortall's went to the graduation. Nolan was obsessed with playing with my rings (they had magical powers), and all Rory wanted to do was smell my banana split lip gloss!! Such cuties.
This past Saturday Pam and I hung out at her house. We had chinese (of course) and we watched the first three episodes of the second season of "The L Word". I can not wait for that to come out on DVD. I want it. It was nice to be with Pam. I hadn't seen her since she got home from Town for the summer. We're going to make plans for this weekend too I think.
On Sunday we went to mom's house for turkey. So good :-) We gave mom her gifts (a ring, a necklace with charms, a cd, a dvd, a family picture frame, and a cute mom ornament made out of bread dough). Chris and Lynette went to St. John's to see the monster trucks. They said it was awesome. They got some really good pictures.
On Friday night, May 13, the Recreation committee is hosting a gospel concert. Since I'm involved in the committee, I think I might go...feel the glory! :-D
Oh! I cut my hair. It's just past my shoulders now...and I got blonde highlights. I'm all sexy for the summer! I really love David Usher's new song 'Love Will Save the Day'. *Whew* I think that's about all I have for now. I'll talk to you all later. Take care.
*i'm giving you my heart and soul and in return, i want you to burn, burn for me baby. like a candle in the night. burn, burn for me, burn for me*
